Synopsis:
In partnership with CBS, Visit Seattle is launching ‘The Emerald Race’ a new show hosted by the Bachelor’s Catherine Lowe (a Seattle native) that celebrates the depth of experiences Seattle has to offer – and the first episode airs today.
With Seattle at its forefront, the miniseries incorporates one of TV’s most popular programs: The Amazing Race. Six former Amazing Race contestants (Cindy & Ernie , Amy & Maya, Brodie and Kurt) are tasked with exploring the depths of Seattle and will be challenged along the way to find and meet up with two of Seattle’s greats: Ryan Lewis and Michael Bennett of the Seahawks.
Visit Seattle’s TV content has garnered some attention – in less than two years they’ve:
Produced 6 shows with an average 70% VTR
Driven nearly 22MM views on YouTube alone. That’s over half the views Visit California has amassed over nearly 10 years.
Driven over 88 years of watch time with the city
Been awarded Ad Age’s Best Branded Content of the Year and nominated for the Tribeca X Award

Our goal is to create content that people will seek out and enjoy, keeping Seattle top of mind, even when they may not be thinking about their next trip.”
